Musica en Accion Music in Action Europe is a European project that promotes the creation of a platform for knowledge transfer between museums of music. It involves museums in Spain, United Kingdom and Italy.

The main purpose of the project "Music in Action" is to develop a European platform for music museums and organizations specialized in the field of music, whose main interest is the collection, research, exhibition and dissemination of music for educational and entertainment purposes.

"Music in Action in Europe" is a project funded by Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the EU, in the Culture Programme contest, in collaboration with Málaga City Council (Spain), the Interactive Museum of Music (Málaga, Spain) National Museums Liverpool (United Kingdom), the Stradivarius Museum (Cremona, Italy) and Curva Minore (Palermo, Italy).
This project includes the carrying out of three seminars, which will be held in 2010 in the cities of Liverpool, Cremona and Málaga, which will bring together professionals working in music and specialized in learning-and-teaching-music museums.

The results of this project and the round table of experts participating in it, will be reflected in an interactive exhibition in Málaga in December 2010.

Seminars

The seminars will directly benefit the cultural sector and professional musicians from different European countries. Among the participants attending, we expect to receive the heads of museums, orchestras, music academies, musician associations, professional musicians, music teachers, museum curators, audiovisual specialists, exhibitions designers, etc.Musica en Accion

The seminars will be held in the cities of Liverpool (August 2010), Cremona (September 2010, within the International Exhibition Mondomusica) and Málaga (December 2010).

Virtual Exhibitions

A sample of the project will travel to each of the participating cities as virtual exhibition through individual viewing glasses. This exhibition will be held in Palermo in December 2009 and in Liverpool, Cremona and Málaga, on the occasion of the seminars.

Interactive Exhibition

Most of the music museums in Europe do not allow visitors to have a physical contact with the collections. This trend, however, has changed over the years, and the educational aspect has been playing a more important role.

This exhibition aims to be the result of the work of partners and collaborators in this project, showing how music in Europe has evolved from the first sounds to date, and how the music is the way to show the emotions, the feelings and the identity of every nation in Europe.
